I’m a crazy book-girl and have always loved stories. In undergrad I studied English & Education and then taught high school English right out of college. From there I entered the nonprofit world where I worked for a local church through which I had the opportunity to start an anti-trafficking organization, UnBound North Texas. About a year after my second child was born, I felt a calling to pursue dreams that I thought I had “missed out on.” It was time to step back from my demanding (but meaningful) career with UnBound and try something that would give me more flexibility while raising littles.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND STORYTELLING WASN’T THE ORIGINAL PLAN...

My Dad loves taking photos. He never misses the chance to document a moment. I grew up with a camera in my face and life's moments documented in the many photo albums that line my parents’ shelves. So, I guess it’s only natural that I fell in love with photography and documenting beauty.

Long story short, I took an amazing photography class that really kick-started my career as a photographer. And, I also completed a master’s degree in Strategic Communication (Advertising, Marketing, PR) at TCU. During my master’s program, I published academic research in storytelling and built upon the various communication skills I had honed during my time in the nonprofit world. Getting my MS has allowed me to continue to work with nonprofits and small businesses in a consulting role as a creative director helping brands clarify their stories.
